St. Nicholas, Minnesota

St. Nicholas was settled in the 1850s by immigrants from Luxembourg and Germany, led by pioneers such as John Lahr and Nicholas Leyendecker. The community grew around the St. Nicholas Parish, which was formally established in 1866 on land donated by early settlers. Today, it remains a historic, rural settlement defined by its deep European and agricultural
heritage.
