Cold Spring, Minnesota
Cold Spring, MN, was platted in 1856 by Thomas C. Alden and W.G. Gould, who named the town for its abundance of natural springs. Like its neighbors, it grew through the arrival of German Catholic immigrants recruited by Father Francis Pierz. Today, Cold Spring is a bustling community known for its granite industry and historic brewery, built on the vision of its 19th-century pioneers.
