Marty/Pearl Lake, Minnesota
Marty, commonly known as Pearl Lake, was settled in the mid-1800s and named in honor of Bishop Martin Marty. The community’s development was anchored by the Holy Cross Parish, established in 1873 to serve the German Catholic pioneers who settled near the lake’s shores. Today, it remains a peaceful, historic hamlet defined by its scenic location and
deep-rooted faith.
